1976 Family Portrait & Pickleball Tournament
The family gathering was also a summer vacation for most of us visiting the Bornstein home, at 700 Forest Street, Bellingham. Myer and Teresa wanted a family portrait. They had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Several cousins slept on the floor in the living room of their home. And loved being piled in together. Janice and Gary drove over from Yakima with their 6 kids. Myrna and Karry drove in with their 5 from ?? Judy and Pablo drove their 2 kids straight through from Thermal in Southern California which was about a 25-hour drive. Jay and Sharyn lived in Bellingham at a home with a private tennis court. They hosted an epic round-robin family competition of pickleball. The winner was awarded a life-size Sugar Daddy on a stick – Marc Rodriguez won it!

Fun Fact: Teresa Bornstein was known for wearing jewelry in the shapes of fish and sea life (Bornstein Seafoods). Myer preferred bolo ties over conventional ties.
