Grandma Bornstein’s Pesto Sauce

- 1 cup basil mix in chopped
- 1 cup parsley mix in chopped
- 2 clove garlic mix in chopped
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
- 1/2 cup Romano cheese grated
- 1/4-1/2 Tsp. olive oil
- 1/4-1/2 Tsp. pine nuts or walnuts crushed
- Some cream
- 1/2 Cup melted butter
After you cook your pasta – spaghetti linguini or bowties – ect.
You put the pesto mixture in pan and heat it a few minutes to mix the flavors. Then stir in the pasta and serve warm.
Teresa Bornstein’s Dirt Cake
- 2 packs of regular oreo cookies (not the double stuffed)
- 1/2 stick of margarine or butter
- 1 8oz package of cream cheese
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 packages (small) of instant vanilla pudding
- 2 3/4 cup milk
- 12 oz cool whip
- 1 package of gummy worms

Crush cookies – set aside
Put in large bowl or blender cream cheese and powdered sugar
Second bowl – mix vanilla pudding and milk
Then combine cream cheese mix and pudding mix
Fold in cool whip.
Then in an 8 in plastic flower pot, layer cookies, worms, crumbs on bottom, then cheese pudding mix and so on begining and ending with cookie crumbs on top.
Refridge overnight to set. You can put a small flower arrangement on top, also more gummy worms and a plastic garden shovel. It’s a fun desert!
